A woman arrested at Nashville airport for public intoxication was so drunk she didn't know what state she was in

A woman let out a piercing scream when she was arrested at Nashville’s airport while she was so drunk she didn’t know what state she was in.

Self-proclaimed spiritual guru Lauren Maten was taken into custody on March 15 fighting and screaming over the incident, while the bodycam of the drama was just released.

Airport police were initially called to reports that Maten, 24, had not paid her bill at the 400 Degrees restaurant.

Newly released bodycam footage shows the moment police approached Maten before all hell broke loose.

The altercation began when Maten denied skipping her bill and began aggressively demanding that the officer return her ID.

‘Can I have it back? That’s my iPhone,” she says angrily before correcting herself and adding, “I mean my ID.”

But when the officer refuses and encourages her to relax, Maten only becomes more furious.

She climbs out of her seat and tries to grab her ID from the officer’s hand as they urge her to abstain.

‘What’s going on, what’s going on? I need my ID. Give me my ID. Give it back,” she shouts.

As she continues to rage, they handcuff her, which only amplifies her outburst.

She begins screaming at the top of her lungs, begging other passengers for help and insisting that she is sober.

Maten then refuses to continue walking and falls to the ground, shouting, “Public drunkenness doesn’t even exist in Indiana.”

To which an officer responds, “You’re in Tennessee” before she is placed in a wheelchair and escorted through the airport.

‘Help me! I don’t know what’s going on,” she shouts. ‘Madam please, please help me. I don’t know what’s going on, what should I do?’

At one point she bizarrely cries out to President Joe Biden for help.

Maten continues to resist as they take her into an elevator, requiring the strength of three officers to wrestle her inside as she screams and writhes on the floor.

One officer was clearly amused by the bizarre drama and could be heard bursting into laughter as Maten’s theatrical shouting continued.

The performance continues even as she walks out of the airport and into a waiting police car.

She lets out another ear-piercing scream as the officers bundle her into the car and shout, “What did I do wrong?”

Maten continues to argue with the police all the way to the station, but eventually calms down and starts singing.

An officer then informs her that someone had previously reported her missing.

Once arrived at the police station, Maten walks to the door of the station himself and promises to behave and is booked.

Online records show she was charged with public intoxication and resisting arrest.

Both cases were dismissed and Maten was ordered to pay $220 in court costs.

The incident took place less than a year after British comedian Rachel Jackson was jailed following a meltdown at the same airport.

The Edinburgh-born star, who appeared in ‘Outlander’, was captured on police bodycam footage swearing and cursing at police as he was escorted from Nashville Airport.
