On Friday, the former reality star, who is married to Heidi Montag, announced that he intends to file a lawsuit against California due to its alleged negligence that resulted in the loss of his residence.
While speaking with blogger Perez Hilton, the father of two recalled desperately trying to get help from the Los Angeles Fire Department as he watched his property go up in flames.
‘They never came. “The door was still closed,” he said. ‘They never came. I watched from my security cameras until our house burned down. There were no fire trucks.

The only parts of the house still standing were the charred front door and the front of the house’s stucco perimeter wall. Large piles of debris were seen throughout the property, as well as burned foliage that once decorated the home’s front yard.
Not only was the couple’s residence destroyed, but Pratt’s parents also lost their home in the fire.
Their decision to sue comes amid widespread backlash against Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass’s lack of preparedness to respond to the wildfires.
Meanwhile, President-elect Donald Trump has blamed California Governor Gavin Newsom for the deadly wildfires that have devastated the state.

Her son served as a comforting distraction as he periodically touched her face, making her smile. “Thank you,” he ended the video with a chuckle.
In another video, Montag assured everyone that she and her family were safe and confirmed the loss of her home.
‘Although we ended up losing our house in the fire and thank God we are safe, so thank you to everyone who is checking, thank you for all your prayers, thank you for your thoughts. It is,” he said, emotion growing on his face. “Speechless.”
Pratt tried to cheer himself up Wednesday with some bagels.
The reality alum, who was seen on Tuesday watching the flames move toward his house, admitted he was in shock and admitted his video was pretty “unhinged.”
‘When your house burns down and you have nothing and your parents’ house burns down and they have nothing. There’s only one thing that can make you feel better: a bag of bagels!’ he said happily.
“I’m obviously in shock and my brain isn’t working so I think this is the craziest post you’ve ever seen.”
