The father of Spain’s Euro 2024 star Lamine Yamal has been rushed to hospital after being stabbed in a car park on Wednesday night, according to reports.

Mounir Nasraoui was in the Spanish city of Mataro where he is believed to have been attacked and has since been rushed to hospital.

A fight reportedly broke out in the parking lot and Nasraoui was stabbed “multiple times.”

The 35-year-old father is originally from Morocco but moved to Spain when he was nine, where he later met Yamal’s mother, Sheila Ebana, and the couple gave birth to their footballing prodigy son in 2007.

Nasraoui, who is two years younger than Yamal’s Spain teammate Jesus Navas, followed his son around Germany as Spain shined to become Euro 2024 champions.
