Sources close to Prince Andrew have claimed he has ‘no intention’ of leaving his home at the Royal Lodge for Prince William and Kate and is determined to complete his 75-year tenure.
It comes amid reports that King Charles told his royal brother to vacate the 98-acre property – his home for more than 20 years.
But Andrew reportedly intends to honor the lease he signed in 2003 by refusing to leave the £30million mansion.
According The TelegraphA source close to the disgraced Duke, 63, last night dismissed reports suggesting he ‘fears the Royal Family are shutting down public services to get him out’.
A friend told the Mail On Sunday that Andrew feels depressed and ‘refuses to budge’ from the property, which is believed to have been reserved for the Prince and Princess of Wales and their three children.

“He’s so fragile,” the friend told the Mail.
“He refuses to see anyone. It has been his family home for 20 years. Is it really wise to kick him out?
They added: “He fears that now that the coronation is over, the knives are out.” He fears the Royal Family will even cut utilities to get him out of there. But we are dealing with human beings, not real estate.
But a source close to the duke said he did not acknowledge the claims, adding: ‘He has a 75-year lease and has no intention of moving.
Earlier this year, King Charles cut his brother’s annual allowance by £249,000, leaving him unable to pay the running costs of the 30-bedroom mansion.

It is understood the Palace initially said the Yorks had to vacate the property – which they rent – by September, but for authorities to now accept such a tight timetable is unrealistic.

Negotiations over the Royal Lodge – which began during the reign of the late Queen – are continuing. It’s understandable that Andrew is frustrated that the talks are between officials rather than between brothers – and wants that to change.
