Sound of freedomone of the biggest and most controversial blockbusters of the year, is now available to stream at home.
After bringing in $244.3 million worldwide (thanks in part to distributor Angel Studios’ Pay it Forward program, which allowed people to donate movie tickets to others), the film is now available for purchase for digital streaming on Amazon’s Prime Video, AppleTV and other video-on-demand platforms.
Directed by Alejandro Monteverde and based on true events. Sound of freedom is inspired by the story of Tim Ballard, a former Department of Homeland Security official and founder of the anti-child trafficking group Operation Underground Railroad. Ballard resigned from the organization shortly before the film’s July 4 debut and has been accused of sexual misconduct. Vice News report. He has denied the allegations.

The film sees Ballard (played by Jim Caviezel) on a vigilante chase to save two children from shady human traffickers who have a web of locations from around the world, and the actor himself appears in the end credits with a special message telling the audience encourages you to donate to spread the word Sound of freedom. The film also stars Mira Sorvino, Bill Camp, Javier Godino, Yessica Borroto, Eduardo Verástegui, Manny Perez and others.

Where to stream Sound of freedom Online
Sound of freedom retails for $19.99 for streaming on Prime Video, AppleTV and other video-on-demand platforms. The film will be added to Prime Video’s online library on December 26, meaning subscribers of Amazon Prime and the standalone Prime Video service will be able to stream Sound of freedom free as part of their membership.

Sound of freedom’The box office performance was partly due to a grassroots campaign by Angel that gave audiences a sense of being part of a movement to end child trafficking. Although the film was discussed on QAnon message boards, Angel and the filmmakers disputed that it was a QAnon film, or even political. Ballard is an ally of Donald Trump, who hosted a private screening of the film in New Jersey in mid-July.
Following the allegations of sexual misconduct against Ballard, published by ShameOUR issued a statement to The Hollywood Reporter which noted the founder’s June 22 departure from the organization: “OUR is committed to combating sexual abuse and will not tolerate sexual harassment or discrimination by anyone in the organization. OUR has engaged an independent law firm to conduct a comprehensive investigation into all relevant allegations, and OUR continues to review and improve the organization’s governance and protocols for its activities.”
Director Monteverde and co-writer Rod Barr wrote a guest column for it THR said in August: “If there is one issue that can unite everyone, it is ending child trafficking. We still believe that. Child trafficking is not a conservative or liberal issue. It is a fundamental human rights issue, an issue that touches our core as human beings.”
