The Sopranos star Drea de Matteo claimed she only joined OnlyFans because she refused to get the COVID vaccine, costing her acting gigs, as she speaks out negative reactions from fans following this decision.
The 51-year-old actress used Instagram last month to promote her new content subscription platform, widely known for hosting X-rated content.
Speaking to Fox News, the actress revealed she was forced onto the subscription site, for which she charges $15, after refusing to take the COVID vaccine.
She told the news site: “I know some people have said nasty things about me joining OnlyFans. But, you know, the way we see things in this house is that mom is a warrior, who doesn’t accept defeat.
“I am a very big supporter of stay-at-home moms and women who truly love raising their children. I balanced everything and did everything.
The actress announced last month that she would now use the subscription-based platform, widely known for its X-rated content.

She starred as Adriana La Cerva on The Sopranos between 1999 and 2006 and won an Emmy Award in 2004 for her performance on the hit series.
She continued: “Little did I know that this was going to have to be a life changing time in a time when I’m supposed to relax a little, that I would have to change careers and find new things because my own industry thinks I’m a savage .
De Matteo was referring to the reaction within the film industry to his stance on COVID-19 vaccination mandates.
The actress told the outlet that her agent abandoned her because of her opinions and that she almost lost her house.
She added: “I guess you could say I was a bad girl because I didn’t follow the rules a few years ago.
“So I never want to be at the mercy of mandates or strikes or anything like that ever again.
The Sons of Anarchy star said her boyfriend Robby Staebler, of All Them Witches, and her children from a previous relationship supported the decision.
She continued: “My kids were the ones saying, ‘Do it.’ She (De Matteo’s daughter) will also edit the photos, because they want certain things that we couldn’t do. Before, I had a lot of money.
“And then all of a sudden I went from being allowed to work to never being allowed to work again.
“I was never the type of actor who took jobs just to stay in the business. I literally took a job to feed my family.
During the pandemic, Hollywood unions and major movie studios have agreed to plans to limit production disruptions by implementing mandatory vaccination policies for cast and crew.

Perhaps giving her fans a hint as to the steamy content they can expect, Drea’s OnlyFans bio reads: ‘The Sopornos’

The actress played La Cerva on The Sopranos for seven years and her character was the longtime girlfriend and then fiancée of Tony Soprano protégé Christopher Moltisanti.
De Matteo’s beauty was often their own subplot on the show. One scene showed FBI agents spying on his character during a tennis lesson.
In reality, de Matteo is a mother of two children. In 2015, she lost her longtime home in New York to a gas explosion.
After The Sopranos ended in 2007, de Matteo built on her success on the show.
She played Gina, Joey Tribbiani’s sister, on the Friends spin-off Joey from 2004 to 2006, and appeared as Angie Bolen on Desperate Housewives between 2009 and 2010.
The actress hosted the must-watch podcast Made Woman and sold merchandise, including t-shirts that read “Adriana f***ing La Cerva.”
The phrase was printed in the iconic Sopranos font and a handgun was used in place of the letter “r.”
