Sophie Habboo debuts after tying the knot with Made In Chelsea counterpart Jamie Laing.

Date:

Sophie Habboo shows off her 18k gold wedding ring as she makes her first appearance since marrying Made In Chelsea co-star Jamie Laing

The wedding ring was clearly on display as newlywed Sophie Habboo emerged for the first time since marrying Made In Chelsea co-star Jamie Laing this weekend.

The TV personality joined Laing for a scooter ride around their native west London on Wednesday, and her 18-carat yellow gold Delaval Knight ring was hard to miss as they navigated the busy streets together.

The pair exchanged rings at Chelsea Registry Office on Friday, with the date engraved into the bands to mark the moment – but Jamie’s appeared to be missing from their first joint appearance since the big day.

Sophie, 29, wore a stylish college jacket and faded jeans and sat behind her husband, the luscious ring visible as she clung to his shoulders.

Meanwhile, 34-year-old Jamie, who was making his second appearance since Friday’s ceremony, opted for a casual black bomber jacket and matching skinny jeans.

Jamie and Sophie revealed last year that they turned down offers to film their wedding for a Made In Chelsea special – just 11 months after the Strictly star left the E4 series to save their romance.

In their first joint interview, the couple reveals that they have decided not to turn their wedding, which will take place abroad next month, into a reality spin-off show.

The decision was made because Jamie believes relationships have a better chance of surviving without the cameras.

The owner of the Candy Kittens told MailOnline that reality TV is “hard on the soul” and after realizing he wanted to marry former co-star Sophie, he knew his departure from Made In Chelsea was inevitable.

Jamie revealed: ‘We’ve been asked to do a TV show but it’s tricky. I’ve done reality for so long and it’s hard on the soul.

“I don’t think TV is ever on your own terms, so unless you have control over those things, it’s kind of hard.

“It’s one of those things that you have to decide whether you want to go down the reality TV route again or not.

“Once you’re married, what happens? Are we doing another show about being married… when does it end? For now, I’ll park reality.’

In line with her husband-to-be, Sophie added, “It’s a day for us and our family and friends.”

Sophie exchanged vows on Friday and looked stunning in a short silk white dress, bow veil and sunglasses — ahead of the couple’s second ceremony in Seville, Spain on May 19.

They looked happier than ever as they had a hug on the steps in front of family and friends after the wedding where Sophie was beaming as she held her pretty flowers.

The ex-McVitie’s heir, Jamie, appeared to be bagging freebies that day, minutes into the ceremony tagging the site of their wedding luncheon, Stanley’s, on Instagram.

Sophie was wowed by Vivienne Westwood’s off-the-shoulder number with a corset design that showed off her toned and tanned legs and was completed with a Sophia Webster ‘wifey for lifey’ handbag.
