Sonia Kruger has recalled one of the most embarrassing experiences of her career as a presenter.
In a candid column for StellarThe Channel Seven presenter, 58, recalled the moment she found herself sitting on pop star Boy George’s lap after a misstep on the set of The Voice Australia.
“It’s like a thousand people gasped as my life flashed before my eyes,” Kruger said of the mortifying incident.
While Sonia was doing her usual walk and talk segment, she tripped over a speaker and fell.
Time seemed to slow down as she was launched into the air, much to the audience’s surprise and potentially revealing more than anticipated in her short suit.

She ended up landing safely in The Voice coach Boy George’s lap.
‘Here’s the thing: embarrassing things happen to all of us… all the time. “At this moment, we cannot conceive of a future in which one day we will laugh at ourselves and those minutes of misfortune,” he stated.
The audience’s gasp turned to relief and laughter as it quickly cut to a commercial break.

But that’s not the only time Sonia found herself in an embarrassing bind.
Recalling a morning walk through the lobby of a five-star hotel after an evening photo shoot, she noticed an unusual amount of attention directed toward her.
Without her hair or makeup on, she felt out of place, but continued, only to discover from her laughing colleagues that she had been parading around with a strand of hair extensions dangling from her bag.
“It was like bangs on a handbag, except in this case it looked more like a merkin bag,” she joked.
She ended up landing safely in The Voice coach Boy George’s (pictured) lap.
