Hollywood-backed Wrexham’s party continued this weekend as they enjoyed promotion to League One, with the team enjoying a team meal after their impressive feat.
Saturday’s emphatic 6-0 victory over Forest Green saw the Welsh team secure promotion to the third tier of English football for the first time in 19 years, prompting wild scenes at their SToK Cae Ras stadium.
And that jubilation continued 24 hours later when the Hollywood-backed team of Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney visited a local restaurant to toast their achievement.
All smiles at independent restaurant and bar The Fat Boar, players and staff were in unison as they posed for a photo there, which the establishment accompanied in X with the caption: “Winners receive x dinners and beers.”
With plenty of drinks on display in that team photo, the celebrations soon turned joyous as they enjoyed each other’s company and that of other fans in the same restaurant.

Wrexham goalkeeper Mark Howard was filmed with a fan drinking a Jager Bomb while toasting ‘Up the f***ing Reds’ before gleefully declaring his intention to be promoted to the Championship next season.
In another photo, star striker Paul Mullin can be seen orchestrating celebrations on a bar stool and singing while being filmed by most of the attendees.
Fat Boar uploaded an image of that moment along with the caption: ‘Same time next year? Gives us x’ as we hope Wrexham can achieve a third successive promotion.
Sunday’s scenes capped an unforgettable weekend for the club as Hollywood star owners Reynolds and McElhenney enjoyed their second successive promotion.

The pair’s acquisition in February 2021 has helped bring global attention to the club.

The delighted fans ignored a warning from the club and invaded the pitch after the game.
Wrexham’s victory was never in doubt as the team led 4-0 at half-time. MK Dons squandered an early lead by losing at home to Mansfield 4-1, while Barrow lost to Gillingham 3-0. That sparked mass celebrations in Wrexham as fans rushed onto the pitch after the final whistle, despite pre-game warnings from the club urging them to remain in the stands.
Wrexham are second in League Two, four points behind leaders Stockport, who also won promotion on Saturday. The top three teams are automatically promoted to League One, with fourth-placed MK Dons no longer catching Wrexham.
Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson praised his team, who won the National League title last season.
He said: “I’m immensely proud of the boys today because if you look at Tuesday’s performance (a 4-1 win over Crawley) and today, when it mattered most, we’ve put in our two best performances of the season.” .
“It’s never easy with Forest Green’s low blocking which makes it difficult, but it was important that we showed that we had learned from when we played them last time and I think some of our football was of a very high standard today.
“I went into the game not expecting other results to go in our favor, I think that’s the best way to approach it.”
Mullin was on the scoreboard during the 6-0 win and scored the second with this header.
