Peter Phillips is facing more royal heartbreak after splitting from his girlfriend, with the pair likely to meet repeatedly at a series of social events this summer.
Princess Anne’s son, 46, described as the unluckiest love Royal of his generation, began dating Lindsay Wallace, 43, in 2021 after ending his marriage to Autumn Kelly, 45, in 2021 .
The couple are now said to have gone their separate ways after the relationship “ran its course”, but they remain friendly and no one else is believed to be involved.
Lindsay, the daughter of an oil tycoon, shares a close social circle with Mr Phillips and his sister, Zara, whom she has known since her £45,000-a-year school days at Gordonstoun.
Lindsay previously joined Peter at both Wimbledon and Ascot, as well as the Coronation concert. She was also among the guests at the royal’s 2011 wedding to rugby star Mike Tindall.

But Peter, said to be the late Queen’s favorite grandson, appeared to be missing Lindsay at the Bahrain Grand Prix in early March.
Royal expert Michael Cole said the couple were “destined” to meet at a social event soon.
He said: ‘They are quite a close-knit group of aristocrats and within these social circles she is one of the people you always invite to events.
‘They’re going to bump into each other, which always causes a bit of a chill. I don’t think anyone said it was going to be real and I’m sure she can accept it for what it was.
“I’m sure they will be able to meet on reasonably good terms.”
Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams said: “She is unquestionably close to her family and moves in exactly the same circles.”
“I would certainly expect her to remain a very good friend as she attended a royal christening and supposedly met the late queen.
‘There is every reason to assume that she will remain a close part of the scene and that they will have a friendly relationship.
Former BBC correspondent and royal expert Michael Cole Royal said the couple were “destined” to meet at a social event soon.
The couple appear together at Epsom in June 2022.

Peter has previously credited his grandparents, the late Queen and the late Duke of Edinburgh, for teaching the rest of the royal family how to behave. Photographed together in 2014 at Ascot.

“There is every chance that he will follow the example of his mother, Princess Anne, who remains on very good terms with her former captain Mark Phillips.”
Cole, a former BBC television royal correspondent, also said Lindsay was likely to have sought advice from Peter’s sister Zara during the break-up.
He said: ‘It’s a complicated situation and I’m sure you will have spoken to Zara.
“She’ll be discreet about it, the worst thing she could do would be make a fuss.”
Rumors of a romance between Peter and mother-of-two Lindsay first emerged when he visited her in March 2021, raising questions over whether he had breached lockdown restrictions.
Eight months later, he proved he was serious about his new relationship when he took Lindsay as his date to his nephew Lucas’s baptism.
The couple was photographed together in a car before the meeting.
Peter, the eldest son of Princess Anne and her first husband Captain Mark Phillips, took the very significant step of introducing Lindsay to his late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, who was said to be “delighted”.
Lindsay met Her Late Majesty at a shooting party in Windsor and a source described the meeting as “warm”.
