“I was already a mother,” she said, referring to her son Manolo, whom she shares with her first husband, Joe González.
“I know what it means to be a good mother or to try to be the best mother possible, and that takes a lot of sacrifices, it takes a lot of energy,” she shared, before explaining that she didn’t think she could do it. She was able to do that again at a certain point in her life.
Vergara split from Joe last year and finalized their divorce this year, and last year, she admitted that their breakup was due, at least in part, to the fact that he wanted to have children, while she didn’t.
