Jada Pinkett Smith opened up about a lot of things this week, from her marriage to Oscar slamming to her sexuality with her significant other, all while promoting her memoir Worthy.
And she’s not stopping yet. In a conversation with People about her “soul mate” Tupac Shakur, she dropped another bombshell by claiming the late All Eyez on Me rapper suffered from alopecia.
“I don’t think Tupac ever talked about the alopecia he suffered from,” she said of his illness.
Skakur had hair loss issues similar to those of Smith – who revealed she had been separated from Will Smith for seven years – which she said began in 1991, after he was arrested by Oakland police for jaywalking.
“After he was in Northern California with the police officers who beat him, he started losing his hair. And his alopecia patterns were much more extreme than mine,” recalls The Red Table Talk host , 52 years.

Shakur then sued the Oakland Police Department and settled the case.
Smith also said the California Love hitmaker kept his condition a secret due to societal pressures.

The Girls Trip star met the rapper – who was murdered in 1996 – at high school at the Baltimore School for the Arts, when they were both teenagers.
“I’m sure if (Shakur) were alive today, he would speak publicly about his condition,” she added.
The Collateral actress went public with her own battle with alopecia in 2018.
“I’m glad I had the opportunity and we will continue to have the opportunity to talk about how alopecia affects me,” she said.
“And I just hope that it gives people the freedom to talk about how and not be ashamed of it and not have such a stigma. And there’s a lot of shame around alopecia.
During an interview with Deployment, The Nutty Professor star opened up about his friendship with Tupac and called him his “soul mate.”

However, she clarified that they weren’t romantically involved because they had “no chemistry.”
“It’s that chemistry of friendship and love,” she said. “It was almost like God made us that way. It was like, look, I’m going to bring you together, right? You will all form a dynamic duo.
“But I’ll tell you right now, I’m going to make it so that you two can’t get together because that just wasn’t the point.”
