Juan Rodriguez, 39, was seen crying when he embraced his husband Marisa outside the Bronx Criminal Court on Saturday after placing a $ 100,000 bond.
The social worker and Iraq war veteran have been charged with two counts of manslaughter and two counts of criminally negligent murder over the death of his daughter Luna and son Phoenix.
He was found not guilty on all counts.
Rodriguez is said to have forgotten to drop the twins off at childcare on Friday morning, leaving them eight hours behind in his Honda Accord while working at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center at The Bronx.
