Social media was shocked when train passengers told the man who had been moved to look elsewhere

A train passenger who pre-booked his seat in a carriage after asking a fellow passenger to move when she was seated in it has been praised.

The passenger appeared to be on a train in Belgium and filmed the exchange politely confronting the other passenger and posted the video to TikTok which has since garnered more than 7.8 million views.

Despite toes curled at points, people were impressed with the swap as the man, who posted with the username @mr_boris_becker, wasn’t put off by embarrassment and clung to his gun.

Commenting on Tik Tok In the video, other people said they weren’t able to handle the exchange in such a calm manner.

The clip begins with the man asking for his seat, which is taken by a woman who seems reluctant at first to move and seems to suggest asking if he can look elsewhere – which he explains “would be tough”.

Begging but understanding, the woman then stands up to leave — but not before two other women, who don’t appear to be related to her, engage in a TikToker suggestion of just trying to find somewhere else.

He can be heard saying, “But this is my place.”

Then the other passenger said, “But, you know.”

TikToker replied: “But, you know, calm down.”
