Not everyone pursues or even plans to realize their sexual fantasies in real life. But a handful of those who have tried to make their browser history a reality have confessed that they didn't go as planned: a thread on Reddit revealed.

A ménage à trois and intimacy outside the bedroom are sexual fantasies we’ve all heard before.

But what about having sex in a desert, or even a warehouse? These are just two of the unusual ones. Sexual fantasies that social media users have confessed to trying.

A hilarious Reddit thread, titled “What’s one sexual fantasy you don’t recommend?”, features the bizarre sexual escapades of commenters, many of whom bitterly regret their daring acts.

The thread started with a question from the user. u/fantastic-ant-4429who asked, ‘What is one sexual fantasy you don’t recommend fulfilling?’

Having sex in the desert, in a library and on a plane were some of the most voted answers, huffpost reported.

Reddit user u/ElPresidente714 admitted to trying to have sex in the desert at night when he returned from Las Vegas. But in reality, they encountered “creepy, disgusting desert things that don’t sleep at night.”

Another, u/DonSmitty, said a ‘high school friend’ covered his girlfriend (including her genitals) in chocolate syrup. But it didn’t end well: he became infected with a “crazy” yeast infection.

Doing it in a storage room was another unusual fantasy that ended badly. User u/isthisfark wrote: ‘There is a closing time and if you don’t keep it you will be stuck behind the gates at night. Then the people who live there start making noise.

One commenter u/hot-snake-70 confessed that he discovered the hard way that it “stings” if you put your penis “in a glass of red wine.”

It was also suggested that threesomes were a bad idea, with user u/Touristupdatenola adding: “If I wanted to disappoint two people simultaneously, I’d have dinner with my parents.”

Another user, u/odysseus-23, warned against trying to have sex in a library due to the likelihood of being “caught on camera.”

And while joining the Mile High Club (engaging in sexual acts on board an airplane) may seem exciting, some warn that it’s anything but.

‘Mile High Club. Trust me, these bathrooms are getting smaller and smaller. And people notice it, they always notice it,’ commented u/bigindianenergy29.

In September, adult video site Clips4Sale published the intriguing results of its analysis of the changing preferences of 250,000 daily visitors to the website.

The analysis revealed a host of dark fantasies of its users, including BBL (a preference for women who have undergone butt enlargement procedures) and Giantess, which depicts a giant woman.

Britons are among the most prolific users of pornography in the world, with an average of 16.6 million searches for adult content made each month.

The adult film industry is estimated to be worth more than £15 billion a year.

While thousands of British men and women watch and enjoy pornography without problems, approximately one in 20 Britons has a pornography addiction.

In some of the most extreme cases, experts have treated patients who watch X-rated content for up to 14 hours a day, according to the nonprofit online therapy program Pivotal Recovery.

However, many patients understandably avoid seeking professional help out of shame and embarrassment about their distress or fear of exposure.
