This is the moment residents of a Russian city began paddling through flooded streets after melting snow caused yards to overflow with water.
Citizens living in Omsk, Siberia’s third-largest city, were seen in footage standing on colorful paddleboards as they navigated flooded areas.
With trees still covered in a thin layer of snow, dozens of residents gathered in a flooded courtyard in front of an apartment building on Komarova Street.
Problems with drainage of melt water forced the owners of the apartment to organize a massive fun bath.
Many were seen boating, and some thrill-seekers even swung from low branches over the puddle of icy water and climbed into the small boats.

Community members gathered to swim across the icy body of water in their inflatable boats.
A daredevil was seen jumping from a tree to a boat below.
Residents were seen wearing life jackets as they crossed the lake-like body of water on SUP boards and inflatable boats.
Wearing shorts and wool hats, some rafters were seen sticking their oars into the ice as they made their way across the thawed yard.

‘This year there was a lot of snow in the city and few people removed it, but now it is flooded. All Venice. A normal courtyard in the city of Omsk,” one resident told a local media outlet.
The Omsk press service explained that the entrances to the apartments were not flooded and the sidewalks are also in satisfactory condition.
The deep puddles formed in a birch forest that grows near the building.
Images of the moment circulated on social media, but opinions were divided as some viewers questioned the cleanliness of the water.

Images of the salutary moment have circulated on social media, but have divided opinion over questions about how clean the water is.
On X, formerly Twitter, a user asked: ‘Frozen sewer?’
Another replied: ‘Yes. Melting disgusting sewage mixed with some melted ice.”
Another disgusted viewer said: “I don’t want to know where that water is from.”
A fourth chimed in: “They really are the strangest creatures.”
Similar scenes were witnessed in 2018 when tourists were seen taking advantage of a torrential downpour in Bali by paddling through the main streets on surfboards.
Australian tourists and locals roamed the streets of Kuta on their surf gear and other floating devices.
