Social media users are baffled after Australian snake catchers challenged them to spot a snake hiding in a backyard bush.
Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers shared a photo of the thick hedge on Facebook on Sunday after he was called to a suburban house in Queensland to pick up a carpet python.
“With the constant changes in the weather, we’ve had a pretty busy week with snakes moving or curling up in the rain, just like the snake in this photo,” said the catcher.

The thick shrubs provided the perfect camouflage for the seemingly invisible snake.
Snake catcher Stuart revealed that the snake’s hideout was to the left of the bush, coiled around the branches deep in the hedge.
While a few eagle-eyed users saw the snake, many kept scratching their heads – some even claimed the image was a hoax and did not contain a snake at all.

“I’ve looked at it for ages and I have nothing but sore eyes,” said one man.
‘I have to go to Specsavers. I don’t see anything, ”commented another.
“Is this the Fools at the end of April and we’re all watching, but there’s nothing,” another joked.
