Decks sold at Bunnings and Miter 10 are recalled due to security fears

Several decks are being urgently recalled from retailers across Australia for fears they could cause injury.
Stanley Black & Decker has issued a nationwide recall of DeWalt and Stanley fiberglass decks sold since 2014.
Along with the already-retired Craftsman line, there are an estimated 2.2 million recalled decks from big-box hardware stores like Bunnings and Miter 10, as well as a host of smaller retailers.

The FATMAX fiberglass deck is being withdrawn from the market
“The mallet head can loosen prematurely and detach unexpectedly during use,” Product Safety Australia said in the recall.
‘There is a risk of injury to the user or bystanders if the head becomes dislodged during use.’
Affected DeWalt fiberglass harnesses are those with model numbers DWHT56024, DWHT56025, DWHT56026, DWHT56027, DWHT56029, DWHT56030, DWHT56141, DWHT56142, DWHT56147, DWHT56148
Stanley Fatmax fiberglass decks with model numbers FMHT56006, FMHT56008, FMHT56009, FMHT56010, FMHT56011, FMHT56019 are also affected by the recall.
Customers are urged to stop using the deck immediately and visit www.sledgehammerrecall.expertinquiry.com to register for a refund.
The tools were sold both in-store and online between August 2014 and May 30 of this year.
