SkyWest’s plane is delayed two hours’ after two employees refuse to work together

FIGHT Wizards! SkyWest plane is delayed two hours ‘after two staff members refuse to work together and run off the plane in a standoff over a passenger who asked to change from first class to coach’

A SkyWest flight was delayed for two hours after a pair of employees were seen in an open video disagreement over allowing first-class passengers to swap seats to the point where they refused to continue working together.

The video was posted to TikTok by ESPN host Ashley Brewer, who was on Tuesday’s flight from Los Angeles to Houston, backed by the theme song Curb Your Enthusiasm.

She posted showing at least two flight attendants arguing, saying it was about whether or not one of the first-class passengers could swap seats with someone in economy class so they could sit next to her husband.

A flight attendant agreed to the request, but a female flight attendant told him not to allow it because it was against SkyWest policy. The airline only allows people to change seats up to 72 hours before takeoff.

The flight attendant began yelling at the worker before she ran to the front of the plane and began to cry.

“They kept arguing and going back and forth in the middle of the hallway about the rules and what was right and what was wrong,” Brewer said.

Finally, the video shows the male flight attendant getting off the plane, with a new crew member taking over.

However, an hour after that, according to Brewer, the flight attendant decided to get off the plane as well.

“So we just sat and waited and waited and waited,” said Brewer, who called the flight attendants “mean” for their behavior. ‘And it was something very big. They had the flight crew come over, the pilots came out and tried to talk through (it). It was an ordeal. And I’m so glad it’s over.

Passengers had to wait even longer until there was a full crew capable of operating the plane before it took off.

A SkyWest spokesperson told DailyMail.com that they have launched an investigation into what happened.

“SkyWest is aware of reports of a flight attendant issue that caused Flight 4860, which was operating as American Eagle from Los Angeles to Houston, to be delayed on Saturday,” the airline said.

“We are sorry for the delay this caused our passengers and we apologize for any inconvenience. We hold all of our employees to the highest standards of professionalism and are conducting an internal investigation related to this flight.”

The male flight attendant eventually got off the plane after an attempt at mediation.

Brewer also clarified that the new team was “very sweet”, but that the experience ultimately was deeply frustrating.

‘I can only see my fiancé for 24 hours. It is now 22 because the attendees are being stingy.

Flight Aware data states that the plane was only delayed by just over an hour, according to WKRG.

He also noted that, in the end, the woman was not allowed to change seats and sit with her husband.

DailyMail.com has contacted SkyWest for updates on the investigation.
