Skye Wheatley has confirmed she has split from her partner of six years, Lachlan Waugh.

On Tuesday, the Gold Coast-based mother of two explained the reason Lachy hasn’t appeared in her recent Q&A videos is because they decided to take some time apart.

‘Honestly, there’s not much to say. We just have a little break from time, it’s good,” he told his fans.

The former reality star spoke at length about the couple’s struggles and admitted that they had recently gone to therapy.

He said 2024 is about achieving goals, a journey that includes addressing challenges in his relationship with Lachlan.

“Lockie and I went to a counseling session yesterday,” Skye said.

The session, initially intended as occupational therapy for their five-year-old son Forrest, became a much-needed intervention for the couple.

Skye realized that her son’s behavior could be influenced by the dynamics of their relationship and that prompted her to take action.

He also reflected on past counseling experiences, comparing them to his current therapy.

“Let’s start with the parents because we are devastated,” he said.

He stressed the importance of addressing his problems head-on for the sake of his family.

Skye first hinted there was trouble in paradise in February last year, revealing she and Lachlan were “on a break” and “raising their two children together.”

The former reality star told her 315,700 TikTok followers that they agreed that she would watch their children for two nights.

Lachlan would look after them for the next two nights, and so on.

However, the agreement did not last and Lachlan asked Skye to “come home” so they could raise their children together.

“So there’s a bit of confusion surrounding a couple of my last posts when I talk about co-parenting with Lachy,” he said at the time.

‘Basically, we tried co-parenting. So I would have the kids for two nights and he would have the kids for two nights. And then, yes, two nights of work and two nights of rest.

Skye said Lachy begged her to “come home” soon in their co-parenting experiment.

“After a while of doing that, he said, ‘Okay, you can come home now,'” she said.

‘Because, yeah, obviously, I don’t think he liked it. We like to be together as a family. But I feel like for us we just needed a break. Just a little break.

“Obviously I didn’t want to be away from the kids while we were away from each other. So we just co-parented over the holiday period. Hopefully that makes sense.”
