The woman accused of distributing a "sex tape" involving soccer star Dane Swan has revealed herself as a volunteer at a country soccer club and "a lovely girl at heart."
Georgia May Gibson, 20, was charged by Victoria police Tuesday after allegedly sharing a video of a naked competition between a woman and the AFL champion without her consent.
Gibson was charged with one charge each of distributing an intimate image and also visually capturing the genitals.
At the time of the release of the video in May of this year, Swan said in a statement that the video had been "taken a long time ago" and called it a "serious breach of privacy."
Gibson, who until recently was a member of the committee of a local football club, did not respond to the questions that Daily Mail Australia sent him.
But friends from her small hometown of 1,600 people said she was a "lovely girl" who had overcome the family tragedy to be a very active member of the local community.

Until recently, Gibson (right) was a member of the committee of his local football club. She will face a maximum of two years in prison if she is found guilty of the charges against her on Tuesday.
Gibson will face the Magistrates Court in Melbourne on December 10 and if convicted could face a maximum of two years behind bars.
The locals said they were surprised to learn of their alleged participation and revealed that they had struggled in recent years to overcome the death of their mother.
But despite her difficulties, she continued to be a prominent member of the community and volunteered at the local soccer club until this year.
"Georgia had a really difficult time when she was a girl (she lost her mother) but she was a lovely girl at heart," said a neighbor, who declined to be identified.
"I would do anything for anyone: I was raising money for cancer, making small cakes and selling them, I was involved in the football club.
& # 39; We are a united community and in small communities we protect each other.
"Do not get me wrong, nobody agrees with what supposedly happened, but I think they understand that he is not a bad person after everything that happened."
It is understood that Gibson and his father moved out of the Meadows area in the last 12 months.
The girl was charged this week after a four-month police investigation.
According to reports, Swan contacted the officers in May after the images began to circulate on social media, and the player of the Collingwood Prime Minister begged them to use their powers to knock him down.
As the video spread on social media, Swan (in the photo with his girlfriend Taylor Wilson) contacted users who shared the images and warned them that he would take legal action unless it was removed.
At the time of the release of the video in May of this year, Swan (pictured with Wilson) said the video had been taken a long time ago & # 39; and called it a & # 39; serious breach of privacy & # 39;
The police will allege that Gibson posted the six-second video showing a naked swan and the woman kissing on a bed, without the soccer player's consent.
Swan, who has been in a relationship with his girlfriend Taylor Wilson since 2010, hit on the video release without his permission.
In a statement read by the president of Collingwood, Eddie McGuire, at the time of rapid dissemination of the video through social networks, he said.
"Recently I realized that a video of me was being published and circulating on the Internet," he said.
"Contrary to some media reports, the video is not a" sex tape. "

"Although the video was taken a long time ago, it has been published and distributed recently.
& # 39; It was taken and distributed without my consent. The distribution is a serious violation of my privacy. "
After the video was broadcast on social networks, it was reported that Swan contacted users who shared the images and warned that he would take legal action unless it was eliminated.
