A six-week-old boy was beaten to death by the family’s beloved dog while he slept in his crib inside their home.
Ezra Mansoor died Thursday afternoon after six days fighting for his life in the hospital with brain swelling and bleeding inside his skull.
Her parents, Mark, 28, and Chloe Mansoor, 25, of Knoxville, Tennessee, welcomed their first child on April 14 and wanted nothing more than to be parents.
They never imagined that the placid, well-behaved husky they had for the past eight years would attack their baby “out of the blue.”

Mark and Chloe got married in 2022 and hosted a baby shower with the family where gifts were piled up in the living room next to huge blocks that spelled out “baby.”
Chloe warned other parents that “it could be any dog at any time.” Completely unprovoked, no matter what the story is.

“Being his mother was the greatest honor and the best thing I’ve ever done in my life,” Chloe told local news stations outside East Tennessee Children’s Hospital.

Ezra’s organs will be donated to help save other babies.

It is unknown what will happen to him next.
The Knox County Sheriff’s Office is investigating Ezra’s death.
