The sister of NBA star Kawhi Leonard has been charged with murder for the death of an 84-year-old woman whose skull was cracked at a casino in California, where she was robbed of about $ 1,000.
Kimesha Williams, 35, was charged with murder and theft along with Candace Townswel, 39, for the August 31 attack at the Pechanga Resort Casino in Temecula, according to a report from the Riverside County Sheriff & # 39; s Office.
Both women were identified by investigators who rated casino surveillance videos as suspects in the deaths of Afaf Anis Assad, 84, of Long Beach, Sergeant Steve Brosche wrote in the report.
Williams, from Moreno Valley, California, was confirmed as Leonard & sister by her aunt, Denise Woodward, according to Press-Enterprise.

Williams was confirmed as Leonard's sister by her aunt, Denise Woodward, also from Moreno Valley. Assad's relatives said that researchers had also told them that Williams was Leonard's sister
There is no suggestion that Williams & NBA star brother, who signed a $ 100 million contract with the Los Angeles Clippers two months ago, was involved in the attack in any way.
A spokesperson for the Riverside County District Attorney office did not respond immediately when Dailymail.com contacted.
Assad's relatives said that researchers had also told them that Williams was Leonard's sister, and said they hoped he could agree with their loss after his father was killed too.
Mark Leonard died outside of his car wash in Compton after being shot multiple times on January 18, 2008, when the forward star was only 16. The case remains unresolved, the Los Angeles Times.
"We know he understands the pain we are experiencing," said Assad's son-in-law Wayne Brown in a statement released to KCAL9.
Southwest Sheriff & # 39; s Station delegates said they were called to the casino around 8 am to investigate after Assad was found unconscious in a bathroom. She was transported to a local hospital and admitted with & # 39; serious injury & # 39 ;.

"Researchers who had also closely monitored Assad's medical status discovered that she was likely to die from her injuries. The Central Homicide Unit was notified and responded to help with the investigation," wrote the office of the Sheriff in his report.
Four days later, Assad died of her injuries, according to authorities following the arrests after watching the video and locating the suspects.

According to legal documents, an investigator requested that the suspects be bailed because he feared that the Williams family had the financial means to release her.
"Williams has a family who is well off and could pay her $ 1,000,000 bail," the researcher wrote, the Press-Enterprise said. "I request NO BAIL to insure Williams' appearance in court and to protect innocent victims."
Woodard contacted her home in Moreno Valley on Saturday and said she did not know if her cousin had contacted her cousin after the arrest, the press reported.
Woodward did not respond immediately when DailyMail.com contacted.
The prison records show that Williams is 6-foot-2, only five inches shy of her brother, who is 6-foot-7.
At 320 pounds, however, she weighs more than 100 pounds heavier than him. Her previous criminal record included grand theft car and attempted theft.
The new charges against Williams and Townsel include murder, theft, elder abuse, and a special circumstance during a murder that makes them eligible for the death penalty.
The public prosecutor has not decided to seek that punishment or life in prison without the possibility of conditional release, Hall previously told the Press-Enterprise.
