Sir Rod Stewart, 79, drops his pants to ’embarrass his youngest son’ during lavish family wedding in Croatia

Sir Rod Stewart dropped his pants as an “embarrassing dad” joke at his son’s lavish wedding over the weekend.

The musician, 79, was in a bar waiting for a drink with his youngest son, Aiden, 13, when he decided to lower the pants of his white suit.

He wrote on Instagram: ‘How to embarrass your youngest child in the hotel bar after a long weekend of activities.’

Earlier in the day, Rod and his wife Penny Lancaster watched their son Liam, 29, marry his partner Nicole Artukovich in Dubrovnik, Croatia.

Ice hockey star Liam announced his engagement to project manager Nicole last July, two months before they welcomed their first child together, a son called Louie.

However, before the official wedding ceremony began, the celebrations began with a Christmas Eve party.

Sharing a snap of the five-star Hotel Excelsior, situated on the beach just a five-minute walk from Dubrovnik Old Town in Croatia, the surroundings looked beautiful.

With a variety of rooms on offer, the Villa Odak Deluxe Sea View Double Balcony Room costs just over £1,000 per night, with other double rooms costing between £700 and £900 per night.

The hotel has elegant rooms decorated with original works of art by well-known Croatian artists and most rooms offer views of the Adriatic Sea.

The wellness area also includes an indoor freshwater pool, two jacuzzis and saunas, as well as being the perfect destination for guests to extend their stay in Croatia by offering trips to neighboring islands.

As guests gathered to watch the sunset by the palm trees, the party began as Liam kept it casual in an open-collared white shirt and gray suit jacket.

Meanwhile, his future wife Nicole opted for a white minidress and gold heels.

While enjoying a toast with his dad, Liam shared a photo of Rod holding a Martini cocktail as they captioned the photo ‘The Bhoys’.

It seemed like the couple had enjoyed the party. Rod looked dapper in his white suit.

Elsewhere, the happy couple posed on the balcony as a friend captioned the photo: “Meet the Stewarts” ahead of their big day on Friday.

Another video showed the party really getting started as purple and blue lights flashed as guests enjoyed a dance and a few more beers.

Liam and Nicole announced their engagement in a joint Instagram post last July when the couple smiled while gazing lovingly into each other’s eyes and simply captioned it “Forever” with a ring emoji.

And after a year of preparations, the two finally tied the knot while celebrating with his father Rod and mother Rachel Hunter, who was the musician’s second wife.

The couple were also joined by the star’s now wife, Penny, and their sons Alistair, 18, and Aiden.

The happy news came less than two months after the couple welcomed their first child together, Louis, on May 12, when Liam shared an adorable photo of the baby dressed in a Celtic soccer jersey and hat.

He wrote: ‘Welcome lad, American, British, Croatian, Kiwi. Louie Mark Roderick Stewart 5.12.23.’ Louis’ middle name, Roderick, is an ode to the Grammy winner.

Meanwhile, Rod’s daughter Ruby welcomed Otis Stewart Kalick with fiancé Jake Kalick on May 9 when Rod marked both new additions with a sweet post holding both babies.
