The film features new interviews with Paul and Ringo Starr, as well as archival interviews with his band’s deceased members, John Lennon and George Harrison.

James’ appearance at the event comes after his father Paul surprised fans when he crashed the premiere of the Beatles ’64 documentary at New York City’s Hudson Square Theater on Sunday.

The musician, 82, seemed relaxed as he settled into a random seat in the middle of the venue next to his wife Nancy, 65, and behind comedian Chris Rock.

While the crowd around him remained calm, Paul was seen greeting some fans before watching the new film produced by famed filmmaker Martin Scorsese, 82.

Paul was announced to be present just before the screening began, but most of the crowd saw him as they took their seats.

Overwhelmed by Paul’s appearance, the fan wrote: “trying to watch the new Beatles documentary and HE APPEARS.”

She added in the caption: ‘And if I said I cried for the first ten minutes…’

Other fans couldn’t believe he had snuck into the theater as they took to the comments section to share their surprise.
