Sir Elton John took to the stage for a special performance as Celine Dion presented an award at the MFEI Spirit of Life gala.
The stars gathered in Los Angeles on Tuesday for the music, film and entertainment industry gala, which honored AEG Presents president Jay Marciano.
The event, which was held at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall and organized by US cancer research and treatment organization City of Hope, saw music legend Elton, 77, delight guests at the gala with some melodies on his piano.
The English singer-songwriter showed off his characteristically eccentric style as he sported a bright yellow suit and purple glasses for the performance.
Canadian singer Celine was also present at the event and took to the lectern to honor Jay with the prestigious award.

Also in attendance on Tuesday was Elton’s writing partner and friend Bernie Taupin, who looked dapper in a black suit and T-shirt.
She paired the look with a collection of sparkly necklaces, a bowler hat and sunglasses.
The American actress Riki Lyndhome was another of the stars invited to the gala, as she graced the carpet with a simple black skater dress.
She was seen posing for photos with actor and comedian Fred Armisen, who wore a navy blue jacket with a gray cardigan and matching pants.
Singer and rapper Aloe Blacc looked dapper in a fitted leather jacket and tailored pants, along with smart shoes and a fedora hat.
Another star that stood out was YouTuber Todrick Hall, who also sported a leather jacket and a baseball cap.

Elton’s appearance comes after he made a candid confession about mortality while speaking about death in his new documentary.
The Your Song hitmaker has faced a multitude of health issues recently after having both knees and his right hip replaced following a fall, forcing him to delay his 2021 farewell tour.
And in his new biopic Never Too Late, the Rocketman singer reflected on his own mortality and confessed that he often thinks about life and death.
In a scene from the movie, The mirror Elton revealed while sitting in the dressing room on his final tour. Looking at his possessions he begins: ‘I wonder what will happen to all this stuff when it’s over. This is the last moment of my life. I don’t know how much time I have left.
‘You think about it more when you get to my age. You think about life and death. You think, “Well, I just want to be where I want to be right now.”

The legendary musician has faced a multitude of health issues recently after having both knees replaced as well as his right hip following a fall.
And he added: ‘I don’t have to work after this. I will work, record and put on radio shows, but traveling demands a lot from you.
‘It’s very exhausting. I’m used to it. I’m a veteran at this, but this is where you start to think about mortality.
Sir Elton’s new Disney+ documentary and musical is a look back at his amazing life in the early days of his fifty-year career.
The film features never-before-seen footage including a look at Elton’s handwritten diaries, audio tapes of the historic Rolling Stone interview, and John Lennon joining him on stage for three songs after his Thanksgiving Day show. 1974 Thank You at Madison Square Garden.
As he prepares for his final North American concert at Dodger Stadium, Elton takes viewers back in time, recounting the extraordinary highs and lows of his early years and how he overcame adversity, abuse and addiction.
