Kensington Palace has released the first photo of Kate and her children since her surgery.

Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis have followed in their mother’s elegant footsteps by wearing a French brand.

In a new image of the Welsh children with the Princess of Wales, taken by Prince William, Kate, 42, smiled alongside her three children, Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, eight, and Prince Louis, five.

And it looks like the young royals are following in their mother’s stylish footsteps, as they were impeccably dressed in colorful winter outfits.

Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis wore knitwear from Parisian brand Cyrillus – Charlotte paired her £42 raspberry wool cardigan with a tartan skirt from Amaia.

Kate has a strong penchant for French fashion brands, often preferring clothing from Sézane, Sandro, Maje and ba&sh.

It is the first photograph Kensington Palace has released of Kate since her surgery and the Princess of Wales thanked the public for their support as she continues to recover.

Prince George, hugging his mother with his arms around her shoulders, opted for a sky blue jumper, with a plaid shirt and matching jeans.

Meanwhile, Louis sported a lambswool jacquard jumper from Parisian brand Cyrillus as he threw his head back laughing.

The sleek khaki design featured heart motifs woven into the fabric construction, as well as button details along one shoulder.

Sitting on the arm of Kate’s chair, Charlotte chose a berry wool cardigan, also from the French brand, paired with an Amaia autumn/winter 2021 tartan skirt.

The Princess of Wales opted for a simple look, incorporating a black turtleneck sweater and classic skinny jeans.

She added her favorite £250 See By Chloe suede combat boots, which she has worn to 13 public engagements since 2019.

Kate appeared completely jewelry-free in the photo, in an unusual move for the royal.

William proposed to Kate in Kenya in 2010 and described the ring saying: “It’s my mother’s engagement ring and it’s very special to me, as Kate is now.” It was only right that the two of them were together.

Wearing her brunette locks in signature loose waves, Kate smiled as she sat with her three children at her home in Windsor.

She opted for natural makeup, with a creamy base and a subtle lip gloss.

Sharing a post on Instagram, Kate wrote: ‘Thank you for your kind wishes and continued support over the past two months.

‘Wishing you all a Happy Mother’s Day.’

The mother-of-three has been away from her royal duties since she was admitted to the London Clinic for “planned abdominal surgery” on January 16.
