Simone Biles may be an Olympic legend, but there’s one workout even she struggles with.
The gymnast won three golds – in the team event, all-around and vault – and took silver in the floor exercise after losing by a very narrow margin to her Brazilian rival Rebeca Andrade on her return to the Olympic podium in Paris this summer.
And after another summer of success and gymnastics tour, the 27-year-old has rightly taken a well-deserved break.
Biles revealed that she trained this week for the first time since the Paris Games, but admitted that this was probably the last time she would try that particular workout.
“First time working out since the Olympics,” the gymnastics icon wrote on her Instagram story on Wednesday.
‘This is what I wore to a Pilates class that I will never attend again! Everyone stay strong out there lmao. It was too hard.’

Pilates — named after Joseph Pilates, who is credited with developing the exercise — can vary in exercises but often includes reformer machines with bands and movable benches.
The exercise focuses on movements to help improve flexibility and build muscle strength, especially in the core, lower back and legs.
Biles’ success in Paris marked a truly triumphant return after suffering the ‘twisties’ in Tokyo.
She stunned the world when she withdrew from the Tokyo Games with a mental block that made it dangerous to perform her high-flying routines.
But she made a stunning comeback in the French capital as husband Jonathan Owens cheered her on from the stands at the Bercy Arena.
Since returning to the United States, Biles has performed on the Gold Over America tour, which ended on November 3, while Owens kicked off the NFL season with the Chicago Bears.
Since ending the US tour, Biles has spent time cheering on her NFL boyfriend at games and making star-studded appearances, including a red carpet appearance at the Country Music Awards in Nashville, Tennessee last month.
But Biles has not ruled out another Olympics, which will return to Los Angeles in 2028. This is the first time since the 1996 Atlanta Games that the Summer Olympics have come to the United States.
‘Never say never. The next Olympics are at home. So you never know. But I’m really getting old.’
