It’s been a year since Olympic gymnast Simone Biles celebrated her marriage to NFL star Jonathan Owens with a ceremony in Cabo San Lucas, and the gold medal winner posted the best she could remember from the occasion.
Biles posted photos of the big day on her Instagram Story from the ceremony where the couple tied the knot for the second time after previously eloping at a Houston courthouse a week earlier.
Among the many photos Biles shared included one of her and her mother, Nellie Biles, celebrating during a pool party.
Simone wrote: “Mom Biles is probably telling me I need to eat before I pass out. Which would have been good advice about 3 hours before this… because I did indeed pass out and miss the rest of the pool party.’
The rest of the image gallery showed Biles with her friends and family, as well as her husband, before a final image showed someone pouring alcohol into her mouth with the caption “and then I passed out.”

This image was at the end of Biles’ story and was captioned “and then I fainted.”
Biles and Owens had a second wedding in Cabo San Lucas last year after officially tying the knot at a courthouse in their native Houston, Texas, a week before the trip.
The couple first met in 2020 through a dating app and Owens didn’t know who Biles was, something the gymnast liked.
Biles admitted that she entered his direct messages because she found the player cute. Plus, they were both conveniently in the Houston area, so they dated in person a few weeks after exchanging text messages.
Due to the pandemic, Biles’ Summer Olympics and Owens’ NFL training were put on hold, but it gave the couple more quality time to get to know each other.
They got engaged in February 2022 and officially married at that courthouse in April 2023.
