Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens have reunited in the United States following the gymnast’s historic summer in Paris.
Biles made a glorious return to the Olympics, winning three more gold medals — and a silver — to cement her place among Team USA’s all-time greatest athletes.
Chicago Bears safety Owens took time off from NFL training camp to be in the crowd in Paris to support his wife.
Now, however, both Biles and Owens are back home from the Games, and on Thursday, the gymnast posted a photo of her husband alongside the soccer player’s English bulldog, Zeus.
Biles was forced to defend Owens earlier this month after fans criticized him for wearing his Olympic gold medal.

After the 27-year-old led the U.S. to victory in the team all-around final alongside teammates Suni Lee, Jordan Chiles and Jade Carey, Owens was photographed with her medal around her neck.
“You witness history every time you step on the mat. Congratulations babe on becoming the most decorated American gymnast in Olympic history! Just amazing!!! That’s 8!!!!! So thankful I was there to see it,” he wrote on social media at the time.
Owens faced backlash from some quarters, with several fans calling his behavior “weird,” while content creator Kiera Breaugh even told him to “take it off” in a video that racked up 2.5 million views on TikTok.
But Biles came to her husband’s defense on social media. “The craziest thing is that I put my medal on every single member of my family and took pictures of them,” she wrote.
“So don’t ever make assumptions,” Biles added. “You’re all just a bunch of bastards. Leave us alone.”
