Simone Biles pleaded with President Biden to 'shake some things' before leaving office

Simone Biles has pleaded with current President Joe Biden to “shake some things” before leaving office following Donald Trump’s presidential victory.

President-elect Trump, who will assume the Oval Office for the second time, defeated Vice President Kamala Harris on Tuesday by winning 277 electoral college votes.

But gymnastics star Biles didn’t seem too happy about her re-election when she made a thinly veiled post on X about her stance on abortion.

“Mr. Biden, I need you to stand up, straighten your back, and shake some things before you leave,” Biles wrote to her two million followers.

‘xoxo women in america.’

Donald Trump will serve a second term as president

President Biden will remain in office until January 20, when Donald Trump is inaugurated.

Trump has previously taken credit for ending Roe v. Wade, the 1973 Supreme Court decision that protected the right to abortion nationwide.

He appointed conservative justices Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett during his tenure, and those three later helped form a majority to overturn Roe v. Wade out in 2022.

However, Biles’ post on X was not well received by some fans.

‘You know that women aren’t losing any rights, right? I mean, if anything, we will make sure that men are not competition against you and your female colleagues,” one wrote.

“Sorry Simone but the guy (barely) knows what the frickin’ day it is or if he’s president so you’re asking a lot,” another said of Biden.

A third wrote: “Stop trying to divide people.”

And a fourth questioned what the seven-time gold medalist meant with her plea to Biden, writing: ‘How to get men out of women’s sports?

Trump said in October on Truth Social that he did not“I do not support a federal ban on abortion, under any circumstances.”

However, the elimination of Roe v. Wade empowered states to block access to abortion, and the procedure is currently illegal in 13 states.

Biles was not the only athlete to express concern about women’s rights upon Trump’s return to office.

LeBron James, who previously endorsed VP Harris, took to Instagram and shared a photo of himself and his 10-year-old daughter, Zhuri.

“HEAVY ON MY HEART AND MIND THIS IS MY PRINCESS,” he wrote.

‘I PROMISE TO PROTECT YOU WITH EVERYTHING I HAVE AND MORE!! WE DON’T NEED YOUR HELP!’

Trump will take office on January 20.
