Simone Biles lost her fourth Olympic gold medal in Paris on Monday after the U.S. team’s golden girl fell during the balance beam final.
Biles, who has won the team, all-around and vault titles in the French capital, was forced to jump off the beam after losing her balance midway through her routine.
Fellow American Suni Lee also suffered a major disappointment, as her medal hopes were dashed when she also fell off the apparatus during her routine.
It took forever for Biles’ score to come in, but when it did, her total of 13.100 wasn’t enough to finish in the top three.
Italy’s Alice D’Amato and Manila Esposito took gold and bronze respectively, while China’s Zhou Yaqin won silver.
