Simone Biles was furious with Olympic fans for doing

Simone Biles was furious at Olympic fans for going “quiet” in the middle of her balance beam routine on Monday after a rare mistake lost her a medal.

Biles failed to make the podium for the first time at this summer’s Paris Games after briefly losing her balance and being forced to jump off the beam.

As a result, the American gymnastics legend did not add any gold medals to her tally of three after receiving a disappointing score of 13.100.

Biles’ US teammate Suni Lee, who suffered a more disastrous fall when she went flying off the beam at the end of her routine, revealed they were both baffled by the “tense” atmosphere inside the Bercy Arena.

While cheering on their teammates, Lee claims the athletes were subjected to “shushing” noises on the sidelines as the crowd urged them to remain silent.

“Simone and I were like, ‘Why are they so quiet? ‘ It’s like we’re just trying to cheer,” Lee said after her own failed exit on beam.

“But yeah, (Biles) came out and said, ‘I don’t know why they shut me down in the middle of my routine.'”
