Simon Cowell shares adorable snaps with his sixth pet pooch as the dog lover announces new addition to his family just two months after adopting a German Shepherd

Simon Cowell has added a new member to his growing four-legged family, just months after bringing home a new German Shepherd named Pebbles.

The music mogul, 64, known for his love of dogs, currently lives with his fiancée Lauren Silverman, their 10-year-old son Eric, and five dogs.

And now the family has a new resident, a pet Chihuahua, who Simon showed off in a series of adorable Instagram snaps on Tuesday.

Simon captioned the post: “I just fell in love,” but did not yet reveal the dog’s name.

The Chihuahua is Simon’s sixth dog, having proudly owned German Yorkshire terriers Shepard Pebbles, Squiddly and Diddly, as well as his late mother’s dogs Freddy and Daisy, whom he adopted from Barbados.

In April 2022, Simon revealed that he will leave a “substantial amount” to various dog shelters in his last will, believed to be around £20 million.

The star decided to write his last wishes after suffering a traumatic bicycle accident that left him with an injured arm.

The music mogul described the process as “one of the most depressing things I’ve ever done in my life, and one of the most difficult,” and revealed that “everything he cares about” will be covered in the will.

Speaking about the morbid experience with The Sun, Simon shared: “Unfortunately, you have to do it, and that day, when it comes, it’s like, ‘Christ, now I have to sit and talk about my death for the next few hours.’ ‘ It was frightening. But the fact that I did it now has given me peace of mind.”

During the chat, he also revealed that he will be leaving a “substantial amount” to dog charities including Dogs Trust, K9 in Barbados and London’s Battersea Dogs Home.

Simon rescued Daisy when he came across the abandoned dog on one of his trips to Barbados back in 2018.

Simon organizes annual stray dog ​​auctions on the Caribbean island and fell in love with Daisy.

She was found abandoned along with her two puppies, but thanks to the K9 Puppies charity, of which Simon is a patron, they were all nursed back to health.

Simon has also revealed in the past that he hopes to clone his dogs, so strong is his love for them.

He revealed he plans to spend £180,000 to clone them by harvesting their genes through a South Korean company.

The star told The Sun on Sunday: “I’m 100 per cent cloning the dogs, all of them.” We’ve researched it thoroughly, got all the details, and I can prove to you that I’m going to clone you. There is documentation.

“I do it because I can’t stand the thought of them not being around.”

The dogs travel with Simon regularly as he works in both Los Angeles and London, as well as taking an annual trip to the Caribbean, and on the flight the dogs get their own squeaky toys to play with and custom-made bones.
