Simon Cowell brought his critical eye and scathing commentary to Domino’s in the popular pizza chain’s new batch of adverts this week.

The Britain’s Got Talent judge, 64, has taken on a new role as a judge reviewing pizzas as Domino’s “quality captain” in a new advert from the company.

The clips are packed with some of Simon’s classic lines made famous during his time on X Factor and American Idol.

During the ad, the music mogul emphasizes his desire for perfection by telling staff that their initial efforts were “terrible” and “pathetic.”

At the beginning of one of the clips, a voiceover says: “At Domino’s, our stores now have quality captains – those who demand perfection.”

Simon then challenges three employees to “impress” him, but their first pizzas fall short.

He tells them: “Terrible, pathetic, I hate it.”

But some pizzas impress the TV personality as he tells a group of employees eagerly holding hands like contestants on a talent show: “That’s a yes.”

In the end, a customer is surprised to see a familiar face behind the cash register.

After Simon delivers the pizza to the customer, the customer calls a friend on the phone and surprisingly says, “Guess who works at Domino’s?”

The following 30-second ad is similar and emphasizes the importance of placing ingredients correctly.

Simon tells an employee during the opening: ‘The distribution of ingredients is horrible.’

“That’s a complete no,” he tells another employee, who responds, “Noted.”

However, the employees impress Simon at the end of his evaluation, as he says “that’s a resounding yes” with a smile.

The collaboration was an obvious choice for the pizza chain, as Domino’s Senior Vice President Kate Trumbull said Simon “demands excellence” on and off stage, which Simon agrees with.

In a statement, he said: “Domino’s demands excellence. They know exactly what it means to deliver the perfect pizza. Domino’s is a resounding yes for me.”
