Simon Cowell looked smart as he left The Arts Club in Mayfair on Tuesday, amid claims he will earn ‘£10 million a year’ from a new America’s Got Talent residency in Las Vegas.

The 61-year-old music mogul wore an unbuttoned white shirt with a two-piece suit as he left the exclusive private members’ club in a luxury vehicle.

Simon completed the look with shiny black shoes and protected himself from the novel coronavirus with a surgical face mask.

The Got Talent mastermind is said to have signed a new deal with the Luxor Hotel, with the luxury venue expected to be used for a large live residence that could last “for years.”

according to the mirrorSimon said over the weekend: “This year we’re opening America’s Got Talent in Vegas at the Luxor. And Vegas and Got Talent is where they want to end up. We agreed to do it, so it’s happening this year.”

A source told the website: ‘It’s no surprise that Simon is taking the next step. He can use his show to promote these stars. An additional advantage is that Simon was allowed to introduce British acts from BGT.’

It has been claimed that the multimillion-dollar deal will feature shows twice a week featuring this year’s winner of America’s Got Talent.

It was also claimed that if the project proves successful, stars from international versions of the show, including Britain’s Got Talent, could make an appearance.

A Las Vegas showbiz source also told the website: “The market for the AGT acts in Vegas has been successful. So it’s no surprise that Simon is taking the next step.

Plus, he can use his show to promote these stars. This can be very beneficial in the short and long term. And of course a bonus is that Simon was able to introduce British acts from BGT there by bringing them in as a special guest.’

A formal announcement about the shows is expected to be made next month.

This won’t be the first time Got Talent stars have made their way to Las Vegas, Hungarian shadow theater group Attraction was offered their own show in 2013.

Other iconic BGT stars who have enjoyed international success include Susan Boyle, Paul Potts and dance act Twist and Pulse.

Magician Shin Lim (who appeared in the 2018 series), singer Michael Grimm (2010) and classic crossover singer Jackie Evancho (2010) are some of America’s Got Talent’s most famous winners, while Susan, dance troupe Diversity (both in 2009) and dog-human act Ashleigh and Pudsey (2012) are some of the UK’s biggest successes.
