During the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics, Simone Biles’ mother recalled a time when rapper Snoop Dogg ignored them in New York City.
Nellie Biles was being interviewed by The Today Show’s Hoda Kotb and the ‘Gin and Juice’ rapper as the opening ceremony broadcast was taking place.
It was then that Nellie remembered when she and Simone had to wait for the hip hop star.
“I’ll never forget meeting in Times Square in 2010. And you said, because we asked you for a photo, two minutes. One, two, and you left (laughs),” Nellie joked.
Snoop laughed off the comment while Kotb quickly changed the subject.

Biles made her Olympic comeback three years after withdrawing from multiple finals at the Tokyo Games to protect her safety, sparking an international debate about mental health, by overcoming discomfort in her calf to lead the U.S. women’s gymnastics team to the final.
Biles, Suni Lee and Jordan Chiles placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the all-around during initial qualifying, though Chiles will miss the all-around final due to rules limiting countries to entering two athletes per competition.
There is a chance Chiles could make the floor exercise final if she finishes in the top eight. Lee is all but assured of making the beam and bars finals, and 2020 floor exercise champion Jade Carey is well positioned to join Biles in the vault final.
But all eyes were on Biles, who briefly startled an entire nation when she left the court after her floor exercise and received medical attention. She had sprained her calf during warm-ups, but the U.S. coach Cecile Landi He said it was a minor injury.
