And the actress tells in this week’s edition of Star Magazine I couldn’t recommend late motherhood more highly.

The American Sniper star welcomed a baby girl, whose name she has not revealed, with her boyfriend Oli Green in January.

“My own experience of motherhood 12 years later is completely different,” the British star told the publication.

“I’m a very different person. People often have a lot to say about having children in your 40s as a woman, but I can’t defend it enough. I feel very lucky.”

Sienna went on to say that she has found it easy to balance motherhood and her career.

“I just finished my maternity leave. My baby is eight months old. It’s great, since there’s been so much emphasis on the female experience in Hollywood, I can take my baby everywhere and they’ll have to stop filming for me,” she said.

“I’m still breastfeeding. I’ve been pumping and sending it to the hotel, and you just make it work,” Sienna continued.

“I find both equally satisfying and I’m lucky to have a job that allows me to have my baby at work.”

Sienna, 42, and Oli, 27, were first linked in February 2022 and welcomed their baby daughter together eight months ago.

Talking with Harper’s Bazaar Sienna had this to say about Oli: “I didn’t expect to take him seriously and very quickly I fell in love. I didn’t think, ‘I’m going to get a younger boyfriend’. I thought, ‘Fuck! Why are you young? That’s so annoying’.”

“There is a difference in the way that generation of men respects women. It’s something specific to him, he’s very wise and balanced, but I think it’s also something of that generation.

“They have grown up in a context of equal opportunities. I see it in their female friends as well as in the men.”

As well as the eight-month-old baby she shares with Oli, she has a daughter, Marlowe, 12, with her ex-partner Tom Sturridge.

In the candid interview, Sienna said having her second child has been a “cathartic and healing experience.”

The blonde beauty said: “I’m in heaven. It’s been a cathartic and healing experience, which sounds a bit strange but it’s grounded in a way that reflects the life I want to live.”

She explained that the 11-year age gap between her daughters is “actually quite helpful because one is small and portable, and the other is becoming more and more independent.”

Speaking about Marlowe, who walked the Cannes red carpet with her mother earlier this year, Sienna said: “She’s very stylish and very critical.”

“She’s like a young Anna Wintour in her total disdain for some of the things I wear.”

Sienna, who has become a mother again in her mid-forties, is enjoying a renaissance, with fans and commentators declaring the British actress has “never looked better” despite the demands of work and having a young family.

Brand and culture expert Nick Ede told MailOnline that he predicts Sienna could be on the cusp of “stealing the crown to become the UK’s biggest Hollywood star”.

He said: ‘Sienna has taken care of herself and prepared for the red carpet knowing that this will be her big return to the big screen and knowing that all eyes will be on her. She has done everything right and she dominates the Croisette, the beating heart of Cannes.

Sienna’s breakthrough roles came 20 years ago in Layer Cake and Alfie, but despite winning acclaim for American Sniper, her acting career has not consistently reached the same heights.

Experts predict that 2024 will be the year she steps out of the shadows, having been overshadowed for years by boyfriends like Jude Law and Orlando Bloom, as well as rumoured lovers Leonardo DiCaprio, Daniel Craig and Brad Pitt.
