Sickening moment 74-year-old woman is abused then pushed over by yobs – as police arrest two boys and girl aged 12 and 14 over incident

This is the sickening moment a 74-year-old woman is pushed by bullies who insult her, while a 12-year-old girl and two 14-year-old boys have been charged.

Video footage shows a group of teenagers shouting insults and laughing at the elderly woman, dressed in a yellow raincoat, before one of them pushes her from behind and she lands on her face.

Police say the incident occurred around 6pm on Saturday, March 30 in the Ardblair Woods area of ​​Blairgowrie, Scotland.

Two 14-year-old boys and a 12-year-old girl have been charged with assault and threatening and abusive behaviour.

Police said the woman was unharmed but very shaken by the incident.

A Police Scotland Tayside spokesperson said: “A 14-year-old boy and a 12-year-old girl have been charged with assault and threatening and abusive behavior towards a 74-year-old woman in Blairgowrie.

‘The incident occurred at around 6pm on Saturday 30 March 2024 in the Ardblair Woods area.

‘The woman was unharmed, but very shaken by the incident.

‘Another 14-year-old boy has been charged with threatening and abusive behaviour.

“They will be reported to the Juvenile Justice Advisor.”

Police Scotland Gary Campbell, from Blairgowrie police station, said: “We would like to thank the local community for their help during our investigations.”

The video was shared 1,000 times on social media and people took to the comments to condemn the incident.

One user said: ‘A woman goes for a walk and gets that treatment? I would be very embarrassed if she were one of my children.

Another wrote: “Absolutely disgusting.”

“They should be ashamed of themselves,” said another.
