‘Sick’ Liam Payne mimics Harry Styles with his cracking voice and says he’s ‘a depressed fool’ when he can’t exercise … and reveals he and Cheryl’s son Bear learned to swim
Liam Payne has taken to YouTube to update his fans on why he’s been ‘quiet’ lately – and reveals he’s been very sick.
The 27-year-old singer did not mention what he was suffering from, but joked about wearing a mask in case he “infected his camera,” while recording a 16-minute message to his followers.
During the update, the One Direction star noted how similar he sounds to former bandmate Harry Styles, with his cracking voice and Northern accent.

‘I have a feeling this is going to be a constant impression of Harry Styles! Maybe I took his vote for something… ”he joked, before also comparing himself to Chris Hemsworth in Thor.
Liam explained that he had learned from his time of being unwell that he can feel excited when he can’t exercise.
‘If I can’t train or play sports, I’m going to be a depressed madman!’ he admitted, before explaining that he spent more time with his son Bear, 4, who he shares with ex Cheryl.
“I’ve been trying to teach him to swim, and that’s a challenge. As a dad I try to push him pretty hard sometimes, it’s hard to find the right balance. His mom’s pretty good at that, to be honest, his mom’s pretty good at that… ”he explained.

He said, “If I can’t exercise or exercise, I become a depressed madman!”
He also revealed that he taught Bear “ movie trailers, ” adding that he enjoyed spending quality time with his son.
“But it’s also been some really weird and really bad weeks – a lot of coughing – I empathize with everyone who’s sick now,” added Liam, before clarifying that he wasn’t suffering from COVID-19.
Liam explained that he started jiu-jitsu and has moved, but that move keeps him from being artistic.

He then explained how he works on an NFT [non-fungible token] about someone ‘locked in a cage’ – which he said was based on how he felt in lockdown.
Liam felt nostalgic, adding that it’s been four years since his single Strip That Down, and thanked Ed Sheeran for ‘helping me write such a great song’.
He continued, ‘Of course I was nervous … there was the famous line about the band that I wasn’t sure about, but I didn’t get in any trouble with the guys, who we call a pass.’
Liam chatted about his long-haired look from a few months ago, joking that “the wheels came loose” and that he “looked like an apostle.”
