She went on to reveal that she ended up having an emergency C-section after initially planning a water birth.
Sian explained: ‘I said I’ll do what’s safest for the delivery of the baby.
“I was planning a water birth, but ended up having an emergency c-section. I felt so confident that I was in great hands. The midwives are amazing, but I’m obviously in quite a bit of pain.”
Speaking about her supportive partner Jake, she added: “It’s so natural, you fall in love with your partner over and over again. He’s taken control when he needed it.”
“He supported me when I needed it and supported me when I was emotional.”
Sharing the happy baby news on Instagram on Saturday alongside a series of adorable snaps, Sian wrote: ‘Our little Ruby (love heart emojis).’

Earlier this month, Sian confirmed that Jordan North will be replacing her as This Morning’s showbiz correspondent while she was on maternity leave.
The TV star marked her final day with the advert, admitting: “I think I’ve taken it as far as I could before appearing.”
During her last appearance on the ITV daytime show before giving birth to a baby girl, presenter Ben Shephard said: ‘First it’s time for the latest showbiz news, Sian is here, for your last date with us before that you are going to be born.’
Sian replied: “Yes, exactly, and I think I’ve come as far as I can without having to give birth on this couch.”
She continued: ‘I know that showbiz news needs to be in good hands and someone who is looking after the showbiz stories every morning and actually working alongside me most mornings when I’m doing the radio…
“This is the transfer of all transfers! I truly believe he is the perfect person for the job. I work with him every morning and he is fantastic. I’m Jordan North, everyone!”
Jordan, 34, then joined Ben, co-presenter Cat Deeley and Sian in the studio and said: “I’ve got a new shirt for this and everything!”
Ben joked: ‘This is showbiz handover, as in handover!’ With Sian joking: “This is like the baton at the Olympics.”
Cat told Jordan, ‘We’ll make sure there’s an extra plate of food for you every week!’
Jordan added: “Of course, I’m just a substitute teacher during the summer, that’s all.”
Sian told Ben and Cat: “I’m so glad it’s Jordan. They’re brilliant and he’s the perfect guy for the job. We had a lot of laughs at Capital.”
At the end of the segment, presenting duo Ben and Cat gifted the expectant mother a baby, which she seemed delighted about.
While Jordan will replace Sian on This Morning, her place on Capital Breakfast will be taken by Kemi Rodgers.
