MLB announced the 2024 Silver Slugger winners on Tuesday night with a couple of expected names topping the list.

Dodgers slugger Shohei Ohtani and Yankees MLB home run leader Aaron Judge received the Silver Sluggers Award, which honors the best offensive player at each position in each league. The awards precede what is expected to be the MVP crowning for each player next week.

For Ohtani, the honor punctuates a historic season that saw him become the first player in MLB history to hit 50 home runs and steal 50 bases in a single season en route to winning his first World Series championship in his first season with the Dodgers. Judge led the American League in home runs for the third time in his career with an MLB-best 58 while leading the Yankees to the World Series.

The Dodgers and Padres led the way with three Silver Slugger winners each. José Altuve, for his part, tied Cubs great Ryne Sandberg for the most The Silver Sluggers once won by a second baseman with their seventh. Mookie Betts also got his seventh.

The Dodgers and Yankees were honored with the Silver Sluggers team for the best overall offenses in each league this season. The winners were selected by voting by MLB managers and coaches. Here are the 2024 Silver Slugger winners:
