    By 4 p.m., the fire had already scorched 800 acres. Thirty minutes later, the blaze had already spread to 1,300 spots, according to fire officials.

    At least three people were injured.

    The airport fire broke out near a drone flight field. Some 1,000 firefighters tried to put out the blaze.

    Governor Gavin Newsom declared a state of emergency due to the soaring temperatures in California. This heat, combined with the raging wildfires, created its own thunderstorm-like weather systems.

    More than 6,000 San Bernardino County residents were forced to flee the blaze.

    A woman whose home was burned by the Line Fire said she and her children had only minutes to evacuate.

    The Line Fire began on September 5 and has burned more than 37,000 acres, according to the East Bay Weather.
