The self-imposed deadline for Kamala Harris to finally grant an in-person interview is fast approaching.

With just four days left in August, the vice president told reporters traveling with her in Michigan earlier this month that she hoped to sit down for an extended interview before the end of the month.

It has been 37 days since Harris filed to run for 2024, and in that time, the vice president has not granted a one-on-one interview or held a formal press conference to answer questions from members of the media.

And Donald Trump’s team has not let its supporters forget that Harris has not been open with the media since launching her campaign last month.

The Republican ticket has begun to be more open with the press and is holding more media events than ever before. Vice presidential candidate Senator JD Vance has even begun answering questions from reporters at campaign events in front of supporters.
