Devastating new details have been released following the plane crash that claimed the lives of five adults on Tuesday.
In a shocking development, the small plane that crashed on Catalina Island in Los Angeles was allegedly not given clearance to take off from the island’s airport.
The twin-engine Beechcraft 95 left the airport with five passengers and then crashed off the coast of Los Angeles County around 8 p.m., leaving everyone on board dead at the scene.
The identities of four of the five victims have since been revealed as 73 years old, Ali Reza Safai of West Hills, Haris Ali, 33, of Fullerton, Margaret Mary Fenner, 55, and famous artist manager Gonzalo Lubel, 34.

The identification of the fifth victim, a man in his thirties, is pending notification of the family.
Of the five people aboard Tuesday night’s flight, four were passengers and the other was a flight crew member, a preliminary report from the Federal Aviation Administration revealed.
The report also indicated that the accident occurred during takeoff.
Flight records show that the plane took off around 5:45 pm that day and according to the National Weather Service there were no advisories for thick fog at the time.

The cellular device used to call in emergency “indicated that the user’s cell phone was involved in a collision with possible injuries and provided a location as GPS coordinates,” the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.
Deputies from the Avalon Station, the Los Angeles County Fire Department, Avalon Search and Rescue personnel and the City of Avalon Fire Department responded to the scene and found the wreckage of the aircraft approximately one mile north. west of the Catalina Island airport.
The National Transportation Safety Board and the FAA have since taken over the accident investigation.
‘Part of the investigation will involve requesting radar data, weather information, maintenance records and pilot medical records. “NTSB investigators will consider humans, machines and the environment as broad lines of the investigation,” said NTSB spokesperson Jennifer Gabris.
The agency said the probable cause of the crash will be revealed in one to two years.
