A group of hooligans have been pictured attacking a wild deer while their stupid friends cheer them on in a city park.

Shocking footage shows the men pulling the animal’s antlers and slapping its rear, with the disgusting scenes taking place in Nottingham’s Wollaton Park.

The trio, wearing hoodies, vests and sweatpants, were photographed by wildlife photographer Chris Golighty.

Horrified by what she had witnessed, the photographer immediately reported the incident to a park ranger.

Despite running away before they could be confronted, one of the three received some sort of karmic retribution when the deer pushed him to the ground after pulling on the animal’s antlers.

Golightly, who is in his 60s, said he was watching the incident from afar as he tried to capture the deer lying alone in the center of the park.

“I saw the group of seven men, but three of them went right next to the deer,” he said.

“They then grabbed him by the antlers, shook their heads and slapped him on the bottom… I was horrified by their shocking behaviour.”

“It is harassment and an act of animal cruelty,” added the photographer.

Local police are now investigating the incident amid fresh calls for the public to make space for the animals.

Wollaton Park includes a deer park and Wollaton Hall, an Elizabethan house that houses the Nottingham Natural History Museum.

Reacting to the incident, Langbein Wildlife posted on social media: ‘Reckless cruelty to deer in Wollaton Park, Nottingham.

“Very sad to see, but thanks to one of our members, Chris Golightly, for highlighting this, in the hope of deterring others from getting so ridiculously close to deer.

“Deer, exhausted by a long routine, often rest peacefully in parks at this time, as they are too tired to move with every approach of people, and the last thing they need is to be bothered pointlessly.”
