A Lancashire police spokesman said, “We are aware of images circulating on social media of an incident in Blackpool earlier today and we are reviewing the footage.

“A 21-year-old man from Blackpool has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, law and order, and hindering a police officer and is in custody.”

Mr. McCullough has since been accused of driving without due care and attention, using threatening behaviors likely to cause harassment or distress and obstructing an officer.

The video appears to have been made by a friend of Mr. McCullough, who described the agents’ action as “out of order” in the video.

He also claims that the officers “messed up” Mr. McCullough twice by putting on the handcuffs.

Mr McCullough will appear in Blackpool Magistrates’ Court on July 7.

It is the second time images of Lancashire police officers have been shared on social media since the coronavirus lock began in the UK.

In April, an Accrington police officer was caught saying he would come up with something to have 24-year-old Adam Kidger arrested for violating lockdown laws.

The officer was suspended after an investigation and Lancashire Constabulary had to apologize after the images went viral on social media.
