A shocking video showing a “transgender” student attacking another girl in a women’s bathroom resulted in a bomb threat being sent to the school after the clip went viral.

The assault at Grecia Arcadia High School took place in February and saw the victim dragged out of a cubicle by her hair by a much larger attacker, described as transgender.

Footage of the attack was shared by feminist website Reduxx on Thursday and resulted in a bomb threat being sent to the school, forcing it to close on Friday.

Greece Central School District Superintendent Kathleen Graupman said the anonymous threat qualifies as a “hate crime” and criticized those using the video to promote “hateful” agendas.

The student grabs the screaming girl by the hair and drags her across the floor to the hallway.

The student throws several more punches before a staff member comes running to separate them.

Even as they are dragged away, the attacker refuses to let go of the girl’s hair.

Finally, the student is escorted away and the girl who was attacked runs behind and tries to defend herself.

However, what appears to be another staff member picks her up and carries her away.

After the images went viral on Thursday, the school received a bomb threat at 6.07am on Friday.

Several buses full of students who had already arrived on campus had to be rerouted as police worked to investigate.

The threat accused the school of failing to create a safe learning environment and accused the district of encouraging the “mentally ill” and “degenerates,” referencing wrestling. NBCNews10 reports.

The threat claimed that the attacker was a transgender student who assaulted a girl in the women's bathroom.

Greece Central School District Superintendent Kathleen Graupman said the anonymous threat qualifies as a “hate crime” and criticized those using the video to promote “hateful” agendas.

“They created a situation that allowed a girl to be assaulted in a women’s bathroom by a useless mentally ill degenerate who thinks he is a girl,” the threat said.

“We are here to send a message, we planted a bomb in the school, evacuate now.”

There has been no confirmation from official sources regarding the gender identity of the students.

However, Reduxx He stated that he had spoken to another student at the school who stated that the attacker is transgender.

“It’s clear that this is being used for an agenda, whether it’s personal or political, it’s being used,” Graupman said.

“That fight that occurred was significant and very, very disturbing and disturbing, and I also want to make it very clear that it involved minors, it involved minors who deserve respect and privacy.

“We cannot share videos, names or personal identities of people.”

Graupman did not say what steps had been taken to discipline the attacking student after the fight.

Police eventually deemed the threat not credible and the school reopened after 9 a.m.

New York is among the states whose laws allow transgender people to use any bathroom that aligns with their gender identity.

Supporters of the law say it helps enshrine the dignity of trans people, who are often vulnerable to abuse and attacks.

Critics say it could threaten women’s safety by allowing men who choose to identify as transgender to access women-only spaces.
