Dramatic images have emerged from the horrific moment when an Australian family miraculously escaped when their car was swallowed up by a huge sump.
The Australian couple Michael and Margie Rule, along with the 18-month-old son Sebastian, drove around in the Indonesian city of Yogyakarta when the road suddenly disappeared when they were en route.
Terrifying footage of the incident shows their 1996 Land Rover Defender at the edge of the hole before it falls into it and lands upside down.

Fortunately, the couple had taken their toddler from the back seat and escaped from the car before it was swallowed by the sink.
