Two Ohio police officers are under investigation after warning the father of an 11-year-old girl that she could be accused of making child pornography.
The two officers, a man and a woman, from the Columbus Police Department showed up at a father’s door at midnight last week, six hours after he called them.
That father then shared doorbell camera footage of the encounter on a TikTok profile with an anonymous handle.
He wrote: ‘My daughter was the victim of (an) online predator. She’s 11, he’s a grown man. He manipulated her into sending photos of herself. This was the response from the police at midnight, we called at six o’clock.’
The yet unnamed father told the two officers after stepping outside onto his porch.
He said he wanted them to talk to his daughter to “make her realize what this was,” after reporting that his daughter was being manipulated into sending photos of herself.
The father says he was realistic about what could be done with the perpetrator, but was still shocked by the female officer’s reaction.
She tells the father that his minor daughter “could probably be charged with child pornography if she discovered that she had taken the images.”
An angry Ohio father claims police came to his home and accused his 11-year-old daughter of creating child pornography after she was allegedly groomed by an adult and tricked into sending explicit photos of herself

The two Ohio officers reportedly showed up at the unnamed father’s home around midnight

He stepped outside to his porch to talk to the two officers, who arrived six hours after he called the local police station
The stunned father says in the video: ‘Who? She can? She’s eleven years old.’
The same officer says, “She’s making it, right?”
“She’s eleven years old,” the incredulous father repeats.
‘Does not matter. She’s still making porn,” the female officer responds curtly.
‘No. She’s being manipulated by a grown adult on the internet,” the father replies, before the female officer interrupts, “Is she even taking pictures?”
The father then refuses to be involved further in the conversation and says to the two officers: “You have a nice evening, thank you for coming.”
The Columbus Police Department confirmed Monday that the two responding officers seen in the viral exchange were from its force.
The department says it is investigating the video shared online “showing two officers responding to a call for service.”
“Police consider all allegations of sexual misconduct with the utmost seriousness. Incidents involving minors are handled with the utmost care. Detectives from the Sexual Assault Unit were immediately notified of the incident and have since launched an investigation.”
The Columbus Division of the Inspector General “which investigates complaints of misconduct and/or excessive use of force by sworn personnel has opened an investigation into this incident,” the statement said.
